CTP CERTIFICATION
CONVERGENCE TECHNOLOGIES PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION (CTP) The The Telecommunications Industry Association’s Convergence Technologies Professional (CTP) is a vendor-neutral certification for IT professionals who have the “core knowledge and skills required by equipment manufacturers, their channel partners, and end-users to sell and service convergence technologies.” This certification “shortens the path to vendor-specific certifications.” The CTP is required for certain Intel-Tel, and Mitel training, is endorsed as a “stepping stone” for the Cisco IP Telephony certification, is accepted as an equivalent to the Avaya Certified Associates (ACA) core exam, and is recommended as one of the preparation activities for the Nortel Networks VoIP Technology certification exam #920-801. It is also recognized by Iwatsu, NEC, Vertical and Toshiba. CNTLC provides the training to help you prepare for the the CTP certification: TIA’s exam TT0-101, “Convergence Technology Professional” is the one requirement for the Convergence Technology Professional certification. It is designed for candidates who work in the following data networking, telephony networking and convergence technology areas: industry standards and protocols, infrastructure, IP protocols, telephony concepts and fundamentals, voice-over convergence, topology convergence, and troubleshooting
